Raised on a sterling silver circular foot, this is a great looking Art Deco octagonal, shallow sterling silver bowl, as you can see. Very stylish with beautiful pierced silver handles as pictured.

Assayed during 1928 by the well respected silversmiths Thomas Bradbury & Sons Ltd of Arundel Street, Sheffield, it stands 2\" high with a top rim diameter of 7\" and a base rim diameter of 3.25\". The distance from handle to handle is 11.75\". The inner bowl area is approximately 1.5\" deep

A particularly good gauge of silver, this bowl weighs in at a hefty 17.38 troy ounces or 540.8 grams.

Because the silver is so thick, there are no particular dents, dings or misshapes anywhere to report as far as I can tell. In addition to the typical light, faint surface scuffs and scratches that all silver objects tend to acquire over the years there are some patches of deeper scratching in the base of the bowl area, presumably caused during 90 years of use. I have pictured and indicated examples of these scratches in a couple of the photographs provided so that you can make a judgement.

No doubt a good polish will further enhance former glory.
