WHILE FOUNDED IN 1946, THIS YEARBOOK OF 1949 ENTITLED "QUADRANGLE" IS THE 1ST EDITION OF ANY YEARBOOK FROM ST JOHN'S. 56 PAGES; HARDBACK. IT HAS PHOTOS OF EACH GRADE LEVEL, DEDICATION OF THE SCHOOL AND A SYNOPSIS OF THE HISTORY OF ST JOHN'S THUS FAR (AS OF 1949). ALSO INCLUDED IS THE PROGRAM ENTITLED, "A SERVICE OF PRAISE FOR THE FOUNDING HEADMASTER OF ST. JOHN'S SCHOOL~ALAN LAKE CHIDSEY 1904-1980DATED NOVEMBER 12, 1980.
THE YEARBOOK HAS MANY CONDITION ISSUES. HAVE ATTEMPTED TO PHOTOGRAPH THE ONES OF GREATER CONCERN. STAINING FRONT AND BACK COVER. FOXING AND YELLOWING OF PAGES. BINDING IS GOOD BUT WORN CONDITION. THIS COULD BE RESTORED TO ITS ORIGINAL SPLENDOR. WOULD BE A FABULOUS PIECE OF HISTORY FOR THE SCHOOL OR A SPECIAL DONOR OR ALUMNI.GOOD LUCK.
