The Predators are back, only this time their hunting ground isn\'t the tropical jungles of South America--it\'s the concrete and street jungles of New York City! It\'s the hottest summer on record, and Detective Schaefer suspects that his brother\'s disappearance is somehow tied to the wave of gruesome murders plaguing New York! This is the very first ever comic book appearance of the Predator, alien stalker from the hit film series. Published by Dark Horse Comics in 1989, after the first film but before Predator 2, this series spawned numerous spin offs, most notably the Aliens vs Predator series, which itself inspired two blockbuster motion pictures. Included in this lot are issues 1, 3, and 4 of the initial series as well as issues 1-4 of the second series, Predator: Cold War. Written by Mark Verheiden and illustrated by Chris Warner and Ron Randall. With a new Predator film being released later this year, the demand for these books is increasing, and their value will almost certainly increase as well.Not professionally graded but these have been read and are showing wear. Most noticeable deterioration is the back cover of Predator #1, which has fingerprint smudges. See photos for examples and I can furnish more if requested.
