About Palace Station:Located at 2411 West Sahara Avenue, Palace Station opened on July 1, 1976. The former general manager of the Fremont, Frank Fertitta Jr., and two partners opened The Casino which was attached to a Mini Price Motor Inn. The property is off the Strip and was not expected to succeed. In 1977, bingo was added and it was then called Bingo Palace. The owners catered to local residents and offered giveaways, cheap buffets and bingo. In 1984, Bingo Palace expanded, remodeled with a railroad theme, and was renamed Palace Station Hotel & Casino. In 1985, Fertitta purchased the adjoining 465 room motel. In 1990, a 21 story hotel tower and parking garage was added. In 2016, a major renovation was under way to modernize the property. The eight faux locomotives were removed. Today the property has over 1,000 rooms, several restaurants, meeting space and a variety of entertainment.

People from all over the world collect, buy, sell and trade these unique gaming tokens. The first Silver Strikes were won from special slot machines in the Reno/Tahoe area of Nevada in 1992. The tokens have been issued with redeemable values of $2, $3, $7, $10, $20, $28, $40, $200 and $300. The most common denomination is $10. Older silver strikes have a higher silver content. As the price of silver increased, the silver content decreased.
