Vintage 1950s Inuit Seal Leather Chewing Carved Soapstone Eskimo Sculpture 26lb. Large and very heavy. Made of genuine soapstone. Part of a collection of rare native Inuit art that was purchased by our buyers. This piece is in excellent condition with superb attention to detail and expressiveness. This piece is signed by Makusikalla Aliqu Qullialu of the Akulivik Settlement, Nunavik, Quebec, Canada using his Inuit disc number E9-1309. This piece weighs approximately 26 lbs.
