#1056, 1880\'s Black Silk Bustle Gown Day Dress: This gown wascreated in the 1880\'s for day wear in a lovely printed silk. It has abust of 38, a waist of 32 and a skirt length of 38. There is some jetbead loss, but it is not real obvious. It is missing two buttons. Idid not have the buttons closed properly and if you look at the bottom of theskirt it does not line up. Both buttons are missing from the middle ofthe bodice. When they are buttoned correctly, the skirt lines up. There is ahole the size of a quarter under the right arm and a tear to the rightsleeve. See photos. There is wear to the left cuff and the frontseam has come apart and will need to be sewn back together. There issplitting of the silk down the right side front of garment. Seephotos. There is also some splitting on the left side as well. Thedress is one piece and is lined from the neckline to the hip line with browncotton fabric. A seam on the backside of the dress has let loose about teninches. There is splitting on the top of the sleeves also. The dress is alarger size but is too fragile to wear. Because of the dark fabric thedamage is not so noticeable and would be less noticeable in soft museumlighting. This is a larger size and would be good for display. If you used ablack under-slip the splitting would not be seen. It would also be good for apattern. The offerding will start at $0.99 with .
