You are offerding on 3 very unique vintage metal planes. The first and largest is about 12” long and 2 ¾” wide and seems tobe made out of thick sheet metal stockIt has a very early style ironadjusting mechanism and iron holder. Itcould represent a Stanly “prototype” orpre-Stanley attempts to create adjustable metal planes. It has a wood handle but otherwisea unique combination of metal parts whose details can be seen in the 3rd and 4thpictures.

The second plane is9” by 2 3/8” wide and is obviously a unique hand made design by a skilled metalcraftsman. It could also be experimentalor a prototype. It has a stylized curved handle in front, a stylizedrounded body, a “scrolled” frog anda “scrolled” wooden wedge It alsohas a removable wooden wedge which sets the angle of the iron. Most unique is the thick sole plate which ismade of two sections, the front and rear meeting at the iron opening with atongue and groove connection. I assumefrom its beautiful construction that itis very old like the first plane. Details can be seen in pictures 6 through9.

The last plane is also old but obviously from an industrial production withits cast body and adjusting mechanism.It is 6 ¾” long and 2” wide and has a very low angle iron withan unusual adjusting mechanism. It also has the stylized lettering of the manufacturer cast with thebody. It is hard to read but could be“Tum” “Fum” or possibly “Jum”. It appears to be an old letteringstyle. The wedge on this is split.

All three planes appear to be very old and are collectorsitems, although the 2nd planeis very solid, well thought out and could be tuned up to be used.
