<>TOKENS FOUND IN OLD CAN<>I found these tokens while searching through items in an old can.. Someone thought enough to save them.. Some have pitting and wear..(see pics for condition)The L.Morse Good for 5 cents in trade\"Licker\" token is from Welch, West Virginia in McDowell County.. I found a little history on this token on Google.. In the article \"Coalfield Jews\" by Deborah R. Weiner it states Louis Morse was the Proprietor of the \"Welch Billiard and Bowling Parlor\" and in 1922 placed an add in the newspaper that they served Kosher Foods in their establishments.. Also in \"Food with a Story\"History of McDowell County, Intoxicating Beverages were available at such centers of amusementand entertainment and \"Lewis Morse Saloons\" being one of several.. Some early history of Welch and McDowell County, West Virginia here.. Also included is a 10 cent piece of scrip from Fred Lester store in Verda, KY.. Also a brassbutton with the date 1865 on it.. Last is a piece of brass or copper that says \"Coal Engine\" No.57, 50 Bush stamped on it.. I have no info on this piece.. Buyer to pay shipping.. Email with questions,thanks...
