Known to have circulated in the American Colonies during the Revolutionary War. Actually made legal tender along with other popular foreign coins circulating in America and retained its Legal Tender Status until 1857. Very popular!

1776 Spanish American Colonial 2 Real. Struck at the Potosi, Bolivia Mint in Colonial South America. Mid grade piece. Most All details present. Nice Battleship Gray Color. Mostly Smooth hard surfaces. Full Legends Obverse and Reverse and Bold Date, Ah that MAGIC DATE. Slightly off centered. Average circulated. Good eye appeal. Scarce this nice.
