Offered in this sale is this Victorian era (or so) scrapbook featuring cigar bands, tags, holders and large cigar tags. All together there are 1,140 pieces in this book. It is in very good condition in my opinion, especially for what it is and that it is probably close to 100 years old. It looks to be a father & son project. The father smoked the cigars, then gave the bands to George Jr., and gathered them from his fellow cigar aficionados for the boy! It looks like quite the collection to me. It is in a ledger book and the first few pages are gone, but it looks like it is still the beginning of this project. The photos are all of the book pages, so the Cigar Tags at the end are very large. Each photo shows the book open, so the 2 pages measure 15 3/4\" wide by 13 1/4\" long. The outside dimensions of the bookis 8\" by 13 1/2\". Hope that gives you an approximate measurement on the bands. I have 37 photos to share if you click the dropbox link, you can view all in the order that they are in the book. The first photo is the front of the book and has \"front\" written in pencil. The last says back (written in pencil). The categories that he used were \"Common Bands\" and there are 440 of them on the first 11 photos of bands. The second category is \"Straight Cigar Bands\" and there are 237 on the next 5 pages. The third category is \"Head Cigar Tags\" (or Bands). There are 255 of those on the next 7 photos. The fourth category is \"Cigar Holders\" and there are 24 on the next 2 photos. The fifth category is \"Common Cigar Bands\" and there are 138 on the next 3 photos and 13 of those are loose in the center. The final category is number 6 and it is the \"Large Cigar Tags\".
