11\" Weller Louwelsa Pansy Vase, Rare Hand-Inscribed Mark, Very Good Condition:

This is a nice large Louwelsa vase that is in very good condition. As noted in the title it measures 11 inches tall. It measures 5 inches across the shoulder and the opening is 2 3/8 inches wide. The base is 3 1/2 inches across. The vase is decorated with pansies in yellow, orange, and brown. We have not identified an artist\'s mark. Unlike most Louwelsa vases that are identified with a standardized impressed mark that reads Louwelsa and which may or may not include the word \"Weller,\" this vase is hand inscribed in cursive with the word Louwelsa above the word Weller also in cursive.
We have gone over the vase carefully in order to identify any problems. Like most Louwelsa vases this one has all over crazing. Even the inside of the vase, which has a yellow glaze, is crazed. We also found a small area with slight scuffing on the reverse shoulder of the vase. We have shown this in the last photo. Other than these issues the vase appears to have few if any additional problems, and we have tried to price it reasonably for a piece of this size.
