12” ANTIQUE BLACK HAIR TURNED CHINA SHOULD HEAD DOLL, GERMANY Here is a lovely petite size china shoulder head doll – she is unusual in that her head is turned slightly to the left where most shoulder heads were cast with faces straight ahead. Her black hair is worn in the low brow style of the 1890’s with only a few head rubs in the front – normal wear and tear for a doll of this age. The face is beautifully painted with black eyebrows, blue eyes, with black lash line, and gently blushed cheeks. Her nose is denoted by two small red dots and the mouth is coral and tightly closed. The body is firmly stuffed muslin with china arms and legs. She is dressed in elaborate pink plush two-piece dress with net, bead and lace trim. Her shirtwaist has pleated front and lace trim and she wears petticoat and pantalettes each trimmed with contemporary fabric borders. The doll was not undressed because her clothes are sewn in place, but by feel her extremities are well connected and there are no leaks of the stuffing. DOMESTIC SHIPPING & HANDLING: Expedited shipping is available - contact me directly for details/pricing. Postage is for 48 contiguous states (additional postage is due for Alaska, Hawaii and the territories). I ship via USPS priority mail, however since there is such a wide range of fees from east to west coast, if an item is very large and/or heavy, it may be shipped parcel post. Breakable items will have insurance included in postage and handling fee and most items will have delivery confirmation; the tracking number will be posted on once the item is shipped. I ship on Tuesday and Friday and sometimes in between, I try to ship within 24 hours of receipt of payment. Multiple purchases will be combined whenever possible.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING:Whenever possible your item(s)n will be shipped via First Class International. Insurance is not available with that option. Should you wish to have the item insured, or if it exceeds the weight for First Class, the item will ship Priority International and the fee includes insurance. All International sales are payable with Paypal – no other payment method is acceptable. Please note: Delays in delivery mostly occur at buyer’s local customs office where packages are required to clear. Items leave the USA within hours of posting. You will be provided with tracking number of the customs form. Please check inquiries with your post office – I have no control of the parcel once it leaves my hands.
