17” Alt Beck & Gottschalck, circa 1860\'s, blond Parian known as Alice by collectors I believe. I am not an expert on Parian dolls so if you know something about this doll, I would appreciate your comments.Her sculpted hair is accented by a painted black ribbon headband behind her exposed ears. Vivid upward glancing blue painted eyes, fine arched brows and a small smiling mouth. She is wearing a beaded black necklaceThe large untinted bisque head is unmarked and has three sew holes in both front and back of the shoulder-plate. No damage and no repair to the bisque.The antique cloth body has, I believe, replaced arms and legs with molded boots. The body has one patch below the left knee.
She is dressed in a vintage black and white print cotton dress with black velvet trim, well made, over a three piece, well made undergarments, including a chemise, pantaloons, half slip.
