This item is a wonderful, original document dated 1765, Saybrook, Connecticut, where members of the town have posted meetings to see if a dam shall be built across Hager\'s Creek, designed to keep salt water out at certain seasons.....seems after a few meetings, the dam was built and a few more to figure out how to maintain the new dam.....clerk notes from Stephen Chalker (1707-1783)....document is 8x10, double sided, overall good condition..
