Serial # 40873. Signed by Continental officials John Sellers and Isaac Pearson.

\"The UNITEDCOLONIES\" along top and bottomborders. \"Continental Currency\" along left and right borders. It reads:

\"THREEDOLLARS.THIS Bill entitles theBearer to receiveTHREE SPANISHmilled DOLLARS, or the Value thereof in Gold or Silver, according to aResolutionof CONGRESS, passed at Philadelphia, May 9, 1776.\"

This note was in circulation at the time of the signing of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776!
