This sale is for a rare antique butcher knife, meat cleaver, or hunting knife, marked: L.F.&C. - SAMUEL LEEKNIVES & STEEL - PAT. MAY 25, 1886 - 12 - This massive old Landers, Frary, and Clark butcher knife can serve many purposeswith a 12\" by 2 5/8\"blade and 17 3/4\" total length and with a +1/4\" thick sharp carbon steel blade and solid hickory handle. The tooled leather sheath is marked: TRINIDAD - BWI - and is from approx. early 1900\'s, not original but works very well. Overall the knife and sheath are in very good condition. The knife shows some little specks of pitting andminor scratches typically associated with its approx. 125 years of age. Please zoom in on all pictures for details. Total weight in the sheath is 2 lbs. 10 oz.
