This is a really cool old Banjolin. There are no identification marks to be found anywhere. It has 12 lugs and has a metal cover around the body. I have taken no efforts to polish it out, as I think the patina is gorgeous. The tail Piece is really cool and acts as a nice place to rest hand. The 8“ skin head has no tears or rips and is strong, tight and stable. It gives a great tone and sound. Did I mention that it has a “Folk Art” ink brush drawing on it, and looks spectacular! I tried to see if it would rub off or smear with water, and it is permanent. The neck appears to be maple with inlay pearloid dot markers. The tuning machines work nicely and dial in precisely while holding good tune. They are date stamped 1989, as can be seen in photo. It has a recently had a new set of strings installed. I am not typically a mandolin player but can grab a few chords and run a few licks. It plays good for me, but could warrant a proper set up to play to your liking. Considering its age, this instrument is being sold as is. Take a good look at the photos, as they are integral to the sale. Please ask all questions before offerding, as I am swift to respond.
