WEST POINT COLORS BY ANN B. WARNER. Published in 1903 by Fleming H. Revell Company. First edition. Fictional account, using true stories, of cadet life at West Point in the 1890\'s. The author and her family lived opposite the grounds of the U.S. Military Academy. Her uncle was a chaplain there from 1828 to 1838, and she and her sister (also an author) are the only civilians buried in the military academy cemetery. A good copy of a very scarce title.Contains 428 pages. There are eight monochrome illustrative plates (all present) including frontis w/ tissue guard. Green and red boards w/ gilt lettering on spine. Edge and corner chipping and fraying, mild front board interior crack, previous owners name written inside front cover, very small tear on one page otherwise pages good, solid condition. Excellent gift or keepsake for the collector of West Point Memorabilia.
