1915 San Francisco PPIE Spoon - Tower of Jewels w/ 3 Novagems:
$30.00

For sale is a 100 year old 5 3/4\" Sterling Silver spoon from the 1915 Panama Pacific International Exposition (P.P.I.E.) held in San Francisco. It was held in what is now the Marina District with the lone remaining building being the Palace of Fine Arts. We are celebrating the 100th Centennial Anniversary this year of this Fair which celebrated that San Francisco had recovered from the 1906 Earthquake. The craftsmanship of this spoon is from another era. You don\'t see the detail and workmanship that went into these spoons, nowadays. The spoon is in good shape. The bowl is slightly warped and the whole spoon is very tarnished. On the front is \"San Francisco 1915\", \"Tower of Jewels Panama Pacific Exposition\".
There is a cutout version of the Tower of Jewels, which is neat. The best feature of the spoon are the tiny stone Novegems below the tower. Three of the stones are there (Red, Red and Blue) and three stones are missing. I have discounted this spoon because of the missing stones. On the back is \"Sterling\".
Please look at my pictures and ask questions. This is an antique spoon featuring SF History.
