This is a 1917 \"sword\" bayonet, intended to fit the P17 Enfield (aka British P13/P14) rifles as well as trench shotguns. A great piece of history from the worlds greatest war, the war to end all wars. They weremade by Winchester, Remington, and Remington-Eddystone and used in WWI and WWII. This particular bayonetis a circle Remington.

The overall lengthof thonet is22\". Thehilt length is 4-3/4\", blade length is 17\" longby 15/16\" wide by 1/4\" thick (at ricasso). Blade appears to have factory edge; fullered groove is 12-1/2\" in length. There are several stampings/markings on the blade (see pictures).
