Original circa 1920\'s (probably 1924) Arcade Model T Ford coupe. This iron toy was made by the Arcade Toy Company in Freeport, Illinois. Inside the car is the word \"Arcade\" in raised letters. The toy car measures 6 1/2 inches long by 3 3/4 inches high by 3 1/8 inches wide. The weight is 1 pound 8.6 ounces.
The toy is just like we found it. But, the toy is a beautiful & professionally done complete repaint. Whoever did the repaint was an excellent painter as they were very close to accurate in simulating the look of the correct colors. No attempt was made by the person who repainted the toy to age the paint. So, the paint is fresh & bright & presents itself with much of the look like an Arcade toy would have appeared like when it left the factory. The body of the car may not have not have been taken apart for the repaint to be done as one end of the rivet has the correct type of Arcade peen.The driver is missing. One of the wheels is missing so only three of the four wheels are present. There are no axles to hold the wheels & each wheel is currently being held on by a screw & a nut. These screws & nuts obviously did not originally come with the car as axles would have originally held the wheels on. I guess the person who did this excellent repaint of the car must have lost the axles. All of the components of the car check out as iron with a magnet. Even though restored it is so well done as to still be quite pleasing.Please examine the photos closely & offer based on your own judgement as to condition & value.
