If you have been collectinginteresting watches for a while, I think you’re going to appreciate thefollowing unique vintage timepiecethat is hard to find nowadays. This is a beautiful example of interesting timepiece from the famousSwiss “Omega Factory”, one of leadingwatch manufacturers.
This elegant timepiecefeatures a new, good looking metal dial. The open unusual face features a 60 minute outer track border with13-4 hour red numbering, Arabic numerals, blue steel hands and a sub-second’sdial at six o\'clock condition. On the sub seconds dial there is Omega symbol.
This model of timepiecefeatures a four-piece, double hinged case made especially for qualitative watch to protect the mechanism from dust and debrisand to provide an extra layer of protection from shock or moisture. Theexistence of an inner dust cover lid is a good sign of a quality watch. Theinside of back lid has the old trademarkOmega symbol with the inscription ‘OMEGA –SWISS MADE – FABRICATION SUISSE’and case reference number #7.496.586. Theinscriptions: ‘Swiss made’, ‘Fabrication Suisse’ testify that thiswatch has been assembled on 100% exclusively in Switzerland.
The winding crown is in very good shape and operates properly.
This mechanical timepiece hasthe original movement. On the mechanism there are inscriptions: ‘OMEGA WATCH CO’, ‘SWISS’, ‘ADJUSTED TWO 2POSITIONS’ and ‘FIFTEEN 15 JEWELS’. The signed original movement withgenuine jewels has serial number #6.722.116. The serial number on themovement places the date of production of this piece at 1927. The original branded movementof this mechanical watch is in anexcellent status which was very well saved, considering age of this watch.
This watch was remade for use as a wristwatch.
