This is an Ideal Baby Beautifuldoll from the 1938. He has a composition head and limbs, a fabric stuffed body, inset teeth with a felt tongue and flirty eyes. He measures about 18\".I think they are metal as they look like they have been painted over with rust around the rim. He is marked Ideal Doll Made in the USA. This doll has minimal crazing. 2 lifted areas on the one leg. See all of the photos. This bonnet and Christening gown are most likely from the early 1900\'s. The bonnet and gown are replacement clothing. Not sure if these were my grandmother\'s or mothers. I think they may be my grandmother\'s. I love this doll. She shows beautifully. The crier does not work. The flirty eyes work very well. This dollhas been restored years ago howeverher face with the exception of her lips have had no paint applied.She is very cute and the ohhh\'s an ahhh\'s that she receives when displayed is amazing. She shows beautifully. He is on page 61 in the 2nd edition of the Collectors Guide to Ideal Dolls 2nd edition.
