Up for sale is an excellent example of the Gillette Flare Tip Super Speed razor. This razor looks good and operates well. The \"last quarter turn\" locks up tight.

The TV Special Flare Tip version of the venerable Super Speed line was produced only in 1958. The TV Special was differentiated from the other Super Speeds by a longitudianal pattern in the handle knurling. This fine example was manufactured in the third quarter of 1958, as evidenced by its D3 date code.

This razor exhibits only the mildest of wear. it is in very fine shape for its age. There are some minor wear marks and abrasions. There is some plating loss on the bottom of the base plate.
