Up for sale, a 1962 Gibson ES-330TD in exceptional condition and in perfect working order. This ES-330 has all of the classic features of this model\'s first iteration, with \"Mickey Mouse Ear\" notably rounded double cutaways on the body, black pickup covers, nickel hardware, and bumblebee tone caps. Very acoustically resonant, the fullness of the unplugged tone translates very well through the pickups, which deliver a very dynamic and nuanced tone, with the heft and midrange fullness that only comes with the combination of a fully hollow body and a good P-90! The instrument is also featherweight and well balanced on a strap at only 6lbs. Professionally setup here at Mike & Mike\'s Guitar Bar and strung with fresh 11-50 strings, this ES-330 is a collector-grade instrument and a great tool for the stage and studio.

The mahogany neck has a slim C profile that gains a bit of depth as you move into the higher registers of the fretboard and has a full 1 11/16\" nut width. The Brazilian rosewood fretboard sports original pearl small block inlays and original frets that have plenty of life left. The frets show moderate, uniform wear beneath frets 1-5, and very faint wear on the crowns beneath the B string until roughly fret 8, with no wear of note further up the neck. The truss rod is responsive with ideal relief, and the guitar plays effortlessly up the neck with no buzzing or dead spots. On the headstock, a set of modern Kluson Deluxe single line tuners are installed, matching the footprint of the originals perfectly, and turning smoothly with immaculate nickel plating and white buttons. The serial number is very clearly stamped on the back of the headstock (the stamping as opposed to inking of the serial began mid-1961) and the \"Gibson\" logo is inlayed in pearl on the headstock face.

The electronics are completely stock, with original CTS pots and \"Bumblebee\" tone caps. The bridge is the original nickel ABR-1 Tune-o-Matic with stock saddles and retainer wire. The original nickel trapeze tailpiece is intact, as well as the stock pickguard, switch tip, and gold reflector cap knobs.

The original nitro lacquer sunburst finish is extremely clean and vibrant, and the face of the instrument is particularly nice, with great grain in the maple and a deep amber color in the center of the burst, and only light finish checking. The back of the instrument has some light buckle rash along with vertical finish checking and a few assorted tiny nicks. There are also somesmall chips on the headstock edges, as well as two tiny marks on the bass side body horn. This guitar has zero cracks, breaks, or repairs and overall, this is an extremely clean example of an early Gibson ES-330! Judging from the minimal wear, it\'s likely spent most of its life in a case!

The original hardshell case is included and in similar condition to the guitar. The small pebble black exterior is very clean with all working latches intact, as well as the Gibson badge and stock handle.
