A rare and beautiful HOFNER 500/5 bass from 1962. (Germany)

This \'blonde\' version of the 500/5 is extremely hard to find. (it is rarer then the sunburst version).

PLs also note the use of the single saddle bridge (like pictured) ... !.

This bass is original in \'all its parts\', it only has the platic knobs replaced (the original 2 are also included).

Pickups : also original and are professional re-winded, which will guarantee you he max. sound output of the bass.

Some surface scratches and wear, the kind you may expect for a \'62 used bass. (see pictures).

A good and thin neck, with original frets - pegs, truss rod and electronics are working.

The handmade holllowbody construction makes that it also can be played acoustically - around 2.2 kg..

Some (spare) parts are also included : the bound tortoise gard (this one is a new replica, and an extra Hofner bridge (se e pics).

This bass produces the great Original sound of the 60-ties (Beatles ect.,...), but can also be use for jazz etc., ...
