\"SATURDAY\'S TOYS Presents...\"a one-of-a-kind Disneylandtreasure... featuring anofficial typedcarbon copy correspondenceas written by Ben Harris on January 8, 1964.

In this originalletter(on onionskin letterhead with Disneyland masthead/ for filing), Mr. Harris expresses appreciation to Dick Wesson for his role in another successful year for the 1963 \"Christmas in Many Lands\" Parade. The letter notes a peak attendance of 42,000 for the annual Christmas event... \"by far the largest crowd ever in attendance in Disneyland outside of the peak summer season.\" Also notes over 33,000 people gathered for the parade itself.

Dick Wesson (1919 - 1979)had served as the voice of the Disneyland television series... narrating the opening of the program. He would also serve as narrator for many Disneyland events, including this parade. In addition, Wesson narrated popular television programs such as those produced by Quinn Martin Productions (The Fugitive, etc.)... \"A QM Production!\"

The letter comes on the heels of a national tragedy only a few weeks earlier: the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

Letter is 8.5\" x 11\"; in good condition. As sent to Wesson\'s Hollywood addressin the Franklin Avenue apartments.

This item comes from the personal Disneyana archive of former Disneyland Production Coordinator, Ben Harris. His career at Disneyland would span from 1958 thru 1970; and would then shift to Florida from 1970 thru 1972. His work included the Santa Fe & Disneyland Railroad at Disneyland; and he wouldlater serve as Production Coordinatorfor Tommy Walker. Hewas often tasked with providing narration through Disneyland\'s public address system. After Tommy\'s departureBen would serve asDisneyland\'sCoordinator of Division Services until his transfer to Florida where hewould provide management for the new Hotel Division at Walt Disney World.
