US ARMY M35A1

2 1/2 ½ TON Multi-Fuel Truck

CARGO TRUCK, STAKE:

1965 Viet-Nam Era Deuce and a Half HD Truck built by Kaiser-Jeep. This super tough multi-fuel truck only has 31k original miles on it.
This truck was originally used by the US Army, then sold to The Virginia City Fire Dept. for use as a tanker. It was well maintained and returned back to the Army in 2011. When we got it. Actually I hate to part with it, but I just don\'t have the time to bring this baby back to original paint and condition.

The M35 2½-ton cargo truck is a long-lived 2½ ton, triple-axle, 6x6 cargo truck initially used by the United States Army and subsequently utilized by many nations around the world. Over time it evolved into a family of specialized vehicles. It would not only inherit the World War II GMC CCKW\'s famous \"Deuce and a Half\" nickname but forge its own legacy.

The M35 started as a 1949 REO Motor Car Company design for a 2½ ton three-axle all wheel drive off-road truck. This original 6-wheel M34 version was quickly superseded by the 10-wheel M35 design. While the basic M35 cargo truck is rated to carry 5,000 pounds (2,300 kg) off-road or 10,000 pounds (4,500 kg) on roads, they have been known to haul twice as much as rated. Trucks in this weight class are considered medium duty by the military and Department of Transportation. You would have a truck that will handle any work on the farm, constuction job site, mill, or back country hauling. OR you can bob this monster to make yourself a killer Dually pick-up!

Runs good, drives, well.... like a tank. Have the operational & maintenence manuals on zip drive. Clear Nevada Title.

This impressive 6 x 6 monster can take you almost anywhere! Pull the stake bed and add a camper! Have the most awesome off-road RV, or the ultimate prepper zombie stomper! Runs on diesel, gasoline, Av-gas (just not jet fuel) Bio diesel, hell probably even french fry grease.

This vehicle has a history. Leased to the Virginia City Fire Dept. from the DOD it was used as a tanker truck for wildland fires. It was well maintained by the VCFD and has newer streetable tires and high back bucket seats were installed. It was turned back to the Army in 2012 when I got it from them. The truck has been titled here in Nevada. I had started to restore the truck back to original 1965 OD Green and have extra parts to go with it. Included are the Bows for the bed along with the rubberized canvas bed cover.
Cab does not have a cover. But will accept a hard or soft cover. I just installed a new pair of Interstate Group 27 810 CCA batteries

This intimidating beast runs and drives good, Ready for work or play! This classic piece of military history is a hit whether at a parade, military vehicle show or out in the field.

I have too many projects and just not enough time. I\'d like to see this go to someone that will give it the time and attention it deserves.
