Here is a rare original FEBRUARY 1975 SCHWINN STINGRAY 20" BICYCLE! (BL Serial Number) This bike is from the era when most everything was cool! (the HEMICUDA, Mach 1 Mustang, and Camaro Z-28 come to mind!) This bike has been in VERY long term storage and has not been owned by collectors. Be the first to get this bike back into the light and enjoy it!
*The bike is in the original and very appealing RADIANT RED factory painted color. It has the original chrome Schwinn double knurled S-2 rear rim and a chrome Schwinn S-7 front rim. Both front and rear tires hold air. The front is an original Schwinn tire. The rear is a really cool Schwinn tire! It says SCHWINN STINGRAY on the side! The bike has cool wide apehanger handlebars, matching Schwinn hand grips, cool rear sissy bar and so much more ! I dont know where you would find another like it! It is awesome! You can read the chainguard lettering fairly well unlike most of them. The bike is an original single speed with operable brakes. The seat is red and has a Stingray tag on the rear!
*Now is your chance to own one of the COOLEST bikes EVER MADE! Make someone in your life happy with this one. This is a cool bike that you can enjoy for years! It is money in the bank and will only go UP in value! You RARELY find these bikes anymore! They were all abused and thrown away back in the 1970s-80s. Finding one these days is a big challenge. If you check out , the selection on any 1960s Stingray bikes is very little. They are very cool and people enjoy owning, riding, and displaying them! Most people do not sell these bikes once they have them. Be the first to get this bike back out in the light and have fun with it! I believe this to be a fairly nice original unmolested bicycle unless otherwise noted.
*NOTED FLAWS It is not 100% flawless but is ok! The paint looks fair for a 35+ year old boys bike! (it has chips scratches etc) The chrome is shiney but is not perfect show quality. Both wheels have a slight wobble when you spin them. The rear has some side dents. The rear hub goes into a "freewheel" type mode and will need to be regreased. I am not for sure what is original and what is not. (see pics and be your own judge) A good "fixer upper' type project bike! These bikes are COOL, fun to collect, and will only go UP in value! The "unrestored" bikes seem to be getting very hard to find these days! I hope you enjoy it. If you click on any of the pics they get very large to show lots of detail. Keep in mind this is a vintage bike that has probably not been ridden for a while so it may need minor tuning, bearings greased, polishing, etc, These bikes are getting harder to find and are more popular than ever before! You will enjoy owning, riding, and displaying it for years! People always remember these bikes but seldom see them in person. Your new vintage bike will be shipped partially disassembled in a factory bike box. I take them in to have them packaged so they almost always arrive in the same condition as they left us. You may want to consider insurance, just in case. Once it has shipped, I cannot be responsible for lost or damaged items without insurance.
