Great early 1978, pre-Ernie Ball B00 series Stingray bass. I am the original owner, purchasing it new when it first reached the music store here in Denver. I have used it as a lifelong professional bass player. The easy action maple neck is perfect and no truss rod work/replacement is needed. It has experienced every type of bass playing and style and is the best bass I have owned.

Additionally, I usually do not change anything on my musical instruments, but you\'ll see two small toggle switches betweenthe lastknob and the input jack. I had an expert guitar repairman add them. In effect, they areserial and parallel modes (coil splitting) to add more pickup options than what came with justthe standard treble/bass knobs at the time, giving the bass an advantage of options.Unless you want just the stock Stingray, you\'d be hard-pressed to find these added features on a 1978 model. Of course, when flipped off, the bass sounds as a stock unit.

I included extra pics showing some wear as expected for a pro bass over 39 years. The back of bass photo shows a curved line where a small amount of the protective coating has gathered, but does NOT affect playing; I just didn\'t want to have any new new work done on this early classic Stingray. I am retiring from the industry. Lightweight and perfect. Comes with a newer hard case.
