1994 OshkoshM1070 Heavy Equipment Transporter (HET)

This wasoriginally a semi tractor but the towing mechanism was specifically designedfor only one type of trailer and therefore not usable with traditional semitrailers. I removed the mechanism and installeda 12 foot long 7 foot wide military cargo box which makes this the WORLD’S LARGESTPICKUP TRUCK.

It has justbeen prepped and painted with silver paint for the cab and box and flat blackon everything else.

The militarypaid $256,704 for this truck in 1994. Itwas sent back to Oshkosh in 2005 for a complete overhaul at substantialadditional cost. There is a metal tagriveted to the drivers door giving this information. The truck has only 3600miles on it since the overhauled and is in excellent condition.

Powered bya 500 HP 8V92TA Detroit diesel DDEC III/IVengine, Allison CLT-755 5-speed automatic with TC-496 torque converter, and Oshkoshtransfer case. The front and rear axlessteer making for a tight turning radius.It has two 55,000 pound heavy duty hydraulic winches. There is also a 3000 pound winch to help getthe big winch cables out.

The truckruns on Michelin 16R20 tires which are 53” in diameter, all including the spare are in excellentcondition. The rear 3 axles have 12inches of travel and ride on air bags. Italso has a central tire inflation system (CTIS) with four different pressuresettings which automatically adjust all eight tires.

The cab hasall new sound damping installed and is very quiet and comfortable todrive. The cab sits 6 people or two withtwo bunks in the back. It has heat and avery good fresh air system. The truckcomes with a Colorado Title.
