Stamp: Cowlan ofLiverpool with Unicorn image on all joints.

Comments: This is avery interesting flute, with a handsome profile. It is of historical, andpossibly performance, interest.

Material: Boxwoodwith ivory trim and silver keys.

System: 1-key(brass) recently re-padded.

Condition: Thisbeautiful flute was restored in 2008. Plays perfectly after only minimal modification.Body of flute is mostly in untouched original condition.

Originally had 3 ivory ferrules and ivory cap. A new\"plastic\" ring made to replace the only missing original ivory ringon the upper footjoint. There are professionally repaired cracks (pinned) on thefootjoint.

Length: It is anunusual 20 inches long and has a beautiful tone. Sounding length is 17.5 inches(in F).
