Pair of sweet glass cordials with enameled decoration.

The amber cordial is optical glass, the faceted panels ofthe glass gather and scatter the light, and creating an intricate pattern ofamber glow and shadow. The outer surfaceis painted with a flat gold paint in a Renaissance revival style that is embellishedwith dots of raised enamel that seem to imitate stone cabochons. This panel is framed by floral scrolls thatre painted in the same matte gold with the flower petals picked out inenamel. The glass measures 1 15/16” talland slightly over 1 3/8” in diameter at the rim. The glass has a small number of tinybubbles. There are no cracks, chips, orother damage. The piece does showscattered surface scratches from use and a small amount of wear to the paint.

The other glass is clear with a band of matte pink that actsas a ground for the brightly enameled flowers with waving leaves that seem to dancearound the piece. The flowers are handenameled in bright colors that are modulated to create a sense of depth andrealism which makes the decoration seem to pop off of the surface. The rim is cut flat and finished with a bandof gold. This seems to be imitating an enameledopaline glass the Moser produced, though in this case, the color is only on thesurface. Though this imitation still hasa luminous quality that makes it light up any shelf. The glass measures 1 7/8” tall and 1 ½” indiameter at the rim. The piece is inexcellent condition with no cracks, chips, or other damage. The paint and enamel only shows very minorsigns of wear. The inner edge of the rimis a bit rough, this seems to have been caused when the rim was cut during manufacturing.
