For your consideration are 2largeoriginal254years old English handwritten manuscripts Lease Mortgage Indenture on vellum.The indenture madein May of1761 first year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Third by thegraceof God of Great Britain, France andIreland. King defenders of the faith and ???? and in the year of our lord One thousand Seven Hundred Sixty one.Handwritten lease mortgage indenture between Thomas Rouse and John???? inLong Claxton county of leicestershire, and John Cooke Esq in the county of Rutland Great Britain.The indenture isapparentlyconveying the land to Mrs John Cooke Esq for the sum of 250 pounds of goods and lawful money of Great Britain. I AM NOT SURE!!!!The writing is an old script and difficult to read.(Please refer to the photos).
The 1765 one is also between Thomas Rouse and John Cooke Esq.
They both come with the red wax seal, blue stamp and witnesses.
They are very decorative and collectible and it would look great if framed or placed under glass in office.
Measurements:They are large documents.The 1761 is Approx 23\" x 27\"The 1765 is approx 17\" x 26\"
