Look at the photos of this nice Ideal doll. She is one of the Grow Hair dollsfrom 1970\'s and is called TRESSY. She comes to you in nice shape with HTFOriginal Outfit. The best part is that she\'s being offered with NO RESERVE!!This pretty doll is one of the Ideal dolls that belongs in the Crissy Family. She stands at 17-1/2" tall is called Tressy. She was made in the 1970\'s by Ideal and is HTF doll.
Tressy has been played with .. not harshly but still played with some. Tressy has black hair that is short around her face and head and then has the long ponytail. The hair is not perfect. The hair around her face is straight. She has bangs in the front and then straight hair around her head. The short hair does have some frizzy ends. I don\'t believe the hair has been cut .. nice length on her bangs and the sides reach to her cheek bottoms. There are no missing plugs and the hair is still shiny. The ponytail looks great. The hair is still pretty smooth with a few flyaways. It\'s still pretty smooth and not much frizziness. When the ponytail is at full length .. it reaches to just above her knees.
She has a pretty face. Her eyebrows are dark rust brown with no fading or rubs. She has wonderful blue sleep eyes that open and close smoothly. Her rooted lashes are all in place with none missing or cut. They do curl on the ends. The eyes are still clear and sparkling. There is a light scratch on the left eye but no major flaws. It appears that she has very faint upper lid shadow .. light bluish gray. I\'m not sure if it\'s supposed to be there or not .. but it does look like a slightly different color on her upper lids. She has a rub or faded spot on the end of her nose. She has pink cheek color with no major rubs. She has a nice closed mouth smile with peach lip paint. There are some light rubs on the paint in the center of her lip crease. There is a dark pin dot near her upper lip (right side) and some pink marks to the left side. These pink marks are often found on Ideal dolls and they remind me of pink highlighter marks. There is one on the center part of her upper lip and then another two to the left side (one upper and one lower near her chin). She has no earring holes.The back of her neck is marked @ 1970 / IDEAL TOY CORP / SGH-17-H161 / HONG KONG.
Her body is made of plastic with a straight waist and vinyl arms. There is extremely light wear on her torso. The back grow hair dial is flower shaped. The grow hair mechanism still works and her belly button does too. Her vinyl arms look pretty good. They have light wear and some dirty spots. Her legs do have the scratches and wear marks. Her left toes are kind of pushed in / melted but you can see the toes. The heels have light wear. There are some dirty greenish spots on the underneath sides of her feet. They need to be cleaned but I did not attempt to clean Tressy. These spots are hidden when she\'s standing. Her rear is marked as it should be. Her middle back is marked Hong Kong. The right cheek says @1969 / IDEAL TOY CORP / GH 18 with the Patent # below. Eventhough she\'s not mint .. She\'sstill in pretty good shape considering she was played with some.
Tressy comes with her original Orangeand WhiteHawaiian PrintMini Dress and matching Panties. The dress has long sleeves with a ruffled neck and cuffs. The dress itself is prettysimple .. it\'s an A-Line dress with snaps in the back forclosure. Thedress could benefit from a light soaking but there are no major stains. There are no holes, tears or bad odors. The back of the dress closes with three round snaps. All of the snap pieces are present. The dress is no longer tagged. The original white and orange panties are present too. They are a little dingy andthe elastic at the waist is stretched outand no longer springy. The leg holes are trimmed inwhite lace. The panties are untagged.According tomy books ..Tressy is supposed to have orange or black shoes. She no longer has any shoes and these would need to supplied by new owner.
