A rare vintage antique Emeralite Banker style Desk Lamp made 16 August 1916.
This model has a “switch”, not a chain, to turn on the light.
It will need a new electrical cord (rewired) to meet current electrical codes.

There is a “wingnut” to position the 8” green shade on the upper lamp column.
This particular lamp has a 4-sided narrow column at the base becoming broader at the top.
The lamp is made by H. G. McFaddin & Co. in New York, USA.
The lamp is numbered: 8734. The lamp is in very good condition.

Note: This particular lamp is different and unique from other Emeralite lamps. It has a switch for the light and the lamp column is inverted. The lamp column is narrow at the lamp base and broad at the top. It is impossible to invert the lamp column and keep the lamp together as one piece. See pictures.
The bottom base square 1.4375\" (each side) supporting the column and the top square 1.625\"(each side) supporting shade, swivel, and lamp cannot be inverted according to an engineer and remain as one piece. If inverted the top square would cover the base deco pattern and not set firmly and properly and the bottom square would not be able at all to secure and support the shade, swivel, and lamp.
