VERY COOL Parralel action snare drum from the 1950s. Ajax - B&H British made.
All original including snare wires. (not original heads) It has die cast hoops, slotted tension rods, 16 lugs. Everything is there. Cosmetically the WMP wrap is tighgt but scuffed and cracked. The chrome is pitted, scuffed, scratched. The shell is solid. It looks like it may be a single ply, hard to tell. Has reinforcement rings.
The wrap is tight but there is a gap in the seem. Back in the 50s Ajax did not overlap the seems so there is always a very slight gap in the seems.
The drum heads are REMO Ambasodor on top. Percussion plus clear resonant head on botton.This is a nice complete original drum- Look at the photos and email questions before offerding. If you are interested - please offer - This is a one time listing.
