Mid 1970\'s Amerand-MacKissic front mount compost-shredder that fits John Deere 210, 212,214, and 216 Lawn and Garden tractors. Compost-shredder was completely deconstructed media blasted, and then powder coated. Both hammer mill bearings replaced, all new flail hammers and spacers installed, and all nuts and bolts replaced. Flail hammers shred material, then screen it out through one inch holes in screen assembly. After reassembly the unit has been installed on my 216 and operationally run. Great item to reduce yard waste, and turn into compost. Work gloves, eye and ear protection included. The original rear mount, not powdered coated, is included. Two spare deflectors are also included. Original flail hammers (used) also ships with unit. Ships in a secure wooden crate.
