  • Nice Brass guard with leather/brass twisted grip.
  • Original Nickel-plated scabbard with brass hardware/rings
  • sword measures approx. 35-1/2\" Total Length, 37\" w/ scabbard

Orlando E. Lewis served in the 4th Regiment, Company D, Ohio Infantry during the Civil War. He enlisted at the age of 17 as a private, and was discharged 2 years later for disability. He later moved to Boston and was a member of GAR Post #15 (John A. Andrew). He died in 1903, just two years after he was given this sword.
