DESCRIPTION: SalesmanSamples were common items in the late 19th Century, as salesmen need smallversions of their handmade products to show their potential customers, andretailers. Salesmen needed a way to demonstrate the features of largeritems. These products needed to be ordered from the maker andmanufacturer. We are pleased to offer this Miniature Tooled LeatherWestern Saddle Salesman Sample circa 1920s. Western saddles were used onhorses on cattle ranches throughout the United States especially the west. This saddle was designed to provide securityand comfort to the rider when spending long hours on a horse, traveling overrugged terrain. Some of the stitchingand leather straps are missing from decades of use. The miniature saddle has age appropriate wearand patina.
