Fresh from a local estate , this clock has been on the wall, gathering dust and unused for at least the last 30 years .
A wall hanging cuckoo clock with an unusual front of hand carved Art Nouveau grapes and vine leaves . A break from the usual dead animals or chalet scene.
Couple of minor splits to the carved front . Detachable top piece .
Carved door for cuckoo at top with a single leaf .
Wood dial . The number three was thought to be missing but was found inside - see photos .
2 large fir cone weights . Each one weighing in at 3 pounds each .
Long metal . wood pendulum with leaf design in openwork style . Has piece of carved wood missing at very bottom of pendulum , That was unfortunately not inside the back .
Back door comes off and coiled gong attached to door .
Wooden cuckoo has come off the metal holder .
One bellow broken .
Large brass movement with no makers marks , just \" 32\" .
Movement is complete but in desperate need of a service and oil .
A great winter project for the dark nights coming up .
