Antique Brass 1068-G 1926 National Cash Register Gas Station Original Label. The register is a National brand, with the original label with a handwritten 1926 manufactured date. The register features a 10 slot cash drawer, and 50 keys. The keys feature an oil, gas, grease, labor, tires, miscellaneous, accessories, storage, and parts button. The cash buttons allow a charge of up to $99.99. The register has a resetting counter and can use register tape. It is a size 1068-G, with a register number of 2411079, and a serial number of S241580Z. It has all of the original labels, including one on how to load the tape, and the original factory labels. The production labels indicate it was completed on 4-20-26, with aMahoganyfinish, and the name of the man who inspected it.It also has a glass display on each side, and a White marble cash plate.The glass on the front side has a crack, with a piece of tape on it. The door to the tape dispenser doesn't fully latch either. As far as I can tell, all of the buttons work, and the drawer will open. It's a little sticky, so it opens about 3/4, and then has to be pulled out further. The drawer isremovable, and has a couple keys with it. It appears either the lock doesn't work, or the keys don't operate it. The finish appears to be original, other than some Red paint leftover on the top, and you can see the Brass under the original finish. There may be parts missing, or functions that don't work, that I am not aware of. That's the best I can describe it, as I am no expert on these. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. This would make a great addition to an automotive collection, or any National collection. This thing is very heavy, so it's pick up only.
