This unusualthimble holder is made of brassand is in the form of an ice bucket full of champagne. The brass bucketis covered with leather. I\'m not sure what the bottle and ice are madeof, though the ice looks like small crystals of calcite. Thethimble is English and tests sterling silver. English silversmithsdidn\'t hallmark small items (and have to pay duty on them) untilrequiredto by law in the early 1880s.It has a faceted rim and an engraved band. It\'s about anAmericanchild\'s size 1 (10.5 mm diameter opening). The condition is excellent,crisp and in round with no holes, dents or other damage.

Thelittle bucket is also in excellent condition with no loss or damage.It screws together perfectly and has a ring on top to attach it to achain or chatelaine. Itmeasures 1 1/2\" high and is heavy and solid.
