ANTIQUE 22 INCH CHINA HEAD DOLL 1000 # 10!!The 1000 # 10 is on back shoulder plate as shown. Or is it 1909 #10?
Black curly hair molded and painted to look like bangs in front.
Very detailed paint job on bangs.
No ears are shown.
Rosy cheeks. Black single stroke eye brows. Blue eyes.
Closed mouth. Pink lips.
Please note: One cheek (as you look at her--the right cheek) has multiple minute pin size flaws, chips.
They may have been manufacturing flaws.No apparent cracks or crazing on china head or shoulder plate.Her limbs are joined at shoulders and hips.
Also, the cloth legs are made so they will bend at knee.
The shoulder plate and head are seamed on each side.The doll has a newer muslin body.
Her arms and hands are also newer in a grayish tone suede type fabric.
The legs are muslin at top and then covered with cotton ribbed stockings which are attached to leg.
The shoes are of grayish suede colored fabric with leather soles.
They appear newer but are quite detailed shoes with a cloth trim on top and.leather soles..
Please note: The dolls hands are very detailed also.
Occasional rust colored spots on body mostly around waist.Very likely this doll was made in Germany probably in the 1800\'s. She is wearing a pink and white plaid long dress with black ribbon trim.
Underneath is a white cotton half slip and long pantalones.
Light staining can be detected on these garments due to age.Condition is Excellent considering this is an Antique Doll.
