Antique Chinese SILVER PHEASANT Rank Badge Embroidery Silk BOXI\'m not sure what this box is or what it was used for. It has beautiful embroidery that is just like what\'s found on Chinese rank badges, with metallic and colored threads on a silk ground. The bird on this box has five tail feathers, like a silver pheasant, but I\'m not sure if that\'s what it represents. It is about 6.25\" wide, 2.75\" tall, and 3.5\" deep. There are some condition issues: a little hole in the silk on top (left side) and a little moth nibble not yet a hole; color bleed on the inside lid and a stain in the inside bottom; adhesive sticker residue on the bottom.
