Antique Delft tile, Biblical scene of Jesus and two disciples at the Sea of Galilee. 5 and 1/2 inches square and 1/4 inch thick. In excellent conditon with only very minor chipping. With biblical reference to the book of Mark. A very beautiful rendition of Jesus teaching two disciples. This tile was painted and fired in the eighteenth century. This type of tile is pictured in the book Tegels by Dingeman Korf on page 139.
