Beautifully refinished quack medical device sold by J.H. Bunnell & Company, 20 Park Place, New York. Used to practice Electropathic Medicine in the early 1900s. Box was refinished with several coats of MinWax Satin Varnish and hand polished to a soft luster with 0000 steel wool and paste wax. Metal hardware was polished. Box is constructed of 3/8\" thick solid oak and sides were assembled using finger joints for strength. Box measures 8 3/4\" long x 5 1/4 deep x 4 5/8\" tall. Battery holder is still in place and is connected to a hinge so it can be raised to remove or insert battery. Tube is rusty on the inside. I have had several of these boxes in my collection and this is one of the few that had the instructions still with it. Wiring is hidden by the hunter green velvet on the bottom, so I have no idea if this device works, but it\'s sure to be a great conversation piece. Accessories have been lost over the years.
