This is a beautiful collector\'s plate bearing the mark ofPickardChinaStudio of Chicago ( Mark 6, 1910-1912)The signature of the artist is on the front.Frederick Walters worked for Pickard from 1903 to 1918.He specialized in florals.(Reference: Collector\'s Encyclopedia of Pickard China)The plate is decorated with hand painted white blossomsand green foliage outlinedwith gold and resting on a pastelbackground.The round edge is heavily gilded anddecorated with golden leaves.The porcelain is fine and transparent, probably Limoges,but the white ware markis covered by the decorating mark.The plate is 8 3/4\" in diameter.The condition is excellent with no visible flaws.Please see my other items for more hand painted plates.Pay Pal only and payment in 3 days.California residents pay 7.5% tax but they usuallyreceive a shipping adjustment.
