Offered with is an Antique \" PARKER TOOL CO \" ~ \" NEW YORK USA \" 7- 8\" Railroad Steam Pipe Wrench 1864 - 1893 marked with an 8 on the top, the neck is marked on bot sides, I think one side says forged and the other looks like GLARA ? or CLARK ? ..... New York Tool Company was a name used by theAuburn Tool Company of Auburn, NY. This name was used from 1864 to1893. They (Auburn) used several different stamps on their planes.Carefully check the \'o\' in Co. If it is the same height as the rest ofthe letters, it is an earlier example. If the \'o\' is raised so its toplines up with the top of the other letters it is a late production stamp.If there is an underline under the \'o\', it is the last stamp that they usedduring their production years. If I remember correctly, Auburn planes,and most likely, New York Tool Co. planes were made at the Auburn CorrectionalInstitute Prison.
