Up for sale a beautifully preserved antique Salzard-Paris 4/4 violin. Francois Salzard (French 1808-1874). Recent estate find-as found. Nicely crafted 19th century violin in spruce, fiddle-back maple, and ebony. Previously well taken care of and in very good condition. There is minor surface wear to the finish from use. Nothing appears to have been previously broken or repaired. It is marked on the inside, below both f-holes, \"Salzard-Paris\", and also stamped on the back, of the base of the neck. Comes with the old green felt lined case it was found in (most likely the original case). Case is functional but will require some restoration for further extended use. The violin measures about 23-3/4\" long by 8-1/4\" wide by 2-1/2\" thick. Satisfaction guaranteed. Thanks for looking.
